Promoting sustainable livelihood and nutritional security

The HSS has built this model on its dual strengths:
technological perfection and community involvement. These strengths have sustained the interventions. All activities as well as decisions in the project were effected through the community institution i.e. Technology Transfer Club (TTC) in each village.

The HSS has used a five-fold intervention:
1. Land improvement and mixed cropping
2. Water harvesting and sharing
3. Community institutions for development
4. Value addition to existing micro-enterprises
5. Kitchen gardens for nutritional security
More than 100 tribal families from five remote villages in Dhadgaon block have benefited from this project. More families are following the same path of development, as HSS has successfully pooled in the schemes of various government departments in these villages..........Back
