Gram Shikshan Mandir;

Gram Shikshan Mandir is a non-formal school that runs for three hours a day at a place provided by the village community. The teacher is a local volunteer working on a nominal honorarium, taking care that the cowherd and drop-out children get to attain basic levels of literacy and arithmetic. This school occupies a special position in securing the child's right of education and play. The methods of teaching-learning are non-formal and lots of natural objects are used.
The tribal area in our district is mountainous and remote. It is often difficult for the children to reach the school; HSS has therefore taken effort to take the school to the children.................Read More
