Land-based livelihoods are still the sole choice of millions of our people. The HSS runs a vibrant and people-oriented Farm Science Centre (Krishi Vigyan Kendra) and ventures at village-to-district level for improving the agriculture. It is credited for pioneering Agro-Technology Mahotsava that is now replicated all over the country. Agro-based processing and forest-based micro enterprises has a huge potential of ensuring livelihoods of the rural populace. The HSS has reached the unreached people with appropriate technology and capital support.
