Aashram Shala (Residential School):
A common tribal family has dual problem in sending the children to school: the children cannot commute to school every day in absence of transportation and the family cannot provide the children a learning environment amidst extreme poverty. The HSS therefore runs a residential school - or Aashram Shala giving formal education up to secondary school (10th std.).
This residential school located at village Jalke is known for its quality of education and the bond of caring between students and teachers.
The school has 4.5 acres of land, where students are learning horticulture and improved farm practices. This ensures that they are not alienated from farming and also that they will be the carriers of new technologies to their remote villages.
The school also has an excellent record in sports training and the students have participated in state-level competitions.
The Ashram Shala is currently a home to 400 students (boys and girls).
